Danan the Jungle Fighter (Sms) Playthrough / Another chosen one called to stop an ancient evil.
Danan the Jungle Fighter (1990) developed by Whiteboard It is a medium quality platformer with rpg elements. If I were to compare this game to another, I think it would be closest to Castlevania Simon's Quest. Admittedly, it's not as open as Castlevania, because it's divided into levels, which are quite extensive, but it still makes the game linear. So personally, I don't know why the rpg elements were ultimately implemented, if we don't have an open world. The only thing we are obliged to do is to look for chests that give us various items, including experience, which after acquiring a certain amount will strengthen us by increasing the attack power or life points. Overall the game is not the worst, but I would rate it as a typical average. There is nothing spectacular here, graphics, animation and music are just average. The storyline may be a bit cheesy, but it doesn't bother me at all, so here I can give a small plus, because it's not confusing. Gameplay-wise it's not too bad, and the only thing you need to get used to is attacking. This is due to a slight delay caused by the start of the attack animation and the overall range of that attack. Why range ? Because we are given a dagger at our disposal, which range is greater than it may initially seem . This is rather a fault of hit detection and hitboxes , because it does not look like an intentional action. After all, the creators could have given the hero a sword, mace, lance or other weapon with a longer range to compensate for coding errors. But overall it's nothing that could distract us from the gameplay and getting used to the game system is really fast. We also get at our disposal the summoning of animals like a large hawk that can transport us through the location, as well as an armadillo and a monkey . As for these two it's hard for me to say anything because somehow I never used them in any situation. Even the hawk is only really useful in one situation , so you can see that the creators have not really used the potential of these summons . They are almost totally worthless , and the best part is that you can't use them when fighting bosses. In general, the game can be counted among those with wasted potential, which is a pity because you can see that it could have come out of this something much better. And so in the end we have a mediocre game that hardly anyone knows about. You can play it and that's it. .
