Notes
Stage 1.0 - this is the stage I practiced the least on R-Typer, so I was still finding my bearings
Stage X3.0 - I originally was going to play the game straight up, but I could not beat Stage 2.0's boss on R-Typer. No matter what I did, I would die against it, so I played Score Attack and replaced it with Delta's first stage.
Stage 3.0 - this was originally my hell stage. I practiced this so much on R-Typer before I could get it down. I love the music in this stage - awesome.
Stage 4.0 - The Tentacle Force has a mind of its own - it was going everywhere I didn't want it to near the end with those artillery Bydo, so I had to use the hanging ones as cover. Can't believe I didn't die. Glad it happened because it makes the playthrough more fun to watch.
Stage 5.0 - I know that using the Strider series ship with the Balmung Missile is a popular way to kill Orobouros, but I stuck with the Leo 2 and kissed it to start with and then dodged around. When the boss died from my Bit's bullet, I thought at first that I had died, so I was a little surprised by the victory music.
Stage 6.2 - screw this boss. I have no good strategy against it, so I always, ALWAYS time it out.
Stage 7.2 - I was getting nervous having come so far without dying and you can see that I panicked after the wave of Bydo System Alphas flew past. The popcorn enemies were shooting at me and I was weaving around like a madman. Almost died too, but my Bit absorbed a couple of the bullets that would have killed me - thank god. Not terribly happy with that part, but again, it makes the playthrough fun to watch because it's not perfect. Also, I know this stage from R-Type Command. I was happy to see it, even if it's not as symbolic as Final's stage F-A. I was also happy to see my fellow Space Corp pilots fly by in the background, showing that you're not alone.
Stage 7.2 Boss - The Ebon Eye - yes, that really is a safe spot temporarily as long as you kill the boss fast enough. I was messing around one day at work, looking at the R-Type wiki, and it mentioned this, so I tested it, and it worked. You just scoot yourself back into the lower left corner and let your Force kill the boss.
Fun facts - I like to hit dead spaces in R-Type stages and stop shooting so I can look cool while the music is playing. I've only ever bothered with R-Typer difficulty on Final and Final 2. I'm hardly an expert player, as I'm not great at dodging around bullets, being the type of player who likes to obliterate everything in my path. You can see my birthday at the end of the game with my pilot information. I'm 41 years old in 2022.
If my R-Type Final R-Typer No Miss video was my magnum opus and R-Type Delta No Miss Normal from 2018 was my epilogue, then R-Type Final 2 can be the second coming. I had a good time making this video.
Not planning on playing R-Typer 2 or R-Typer 3, as I was totally satisfied with R-Typer, so that's it. I'll see everybody again in the future. Thanks for watching!!
