At first I wasn't sure how I felt about Aquamarine Dagger, but after I changed the build to mimic my Ranger Build ( https://youtu.be/uBhCbI-MQF0 ), it performed much better!

I use Deep Soul to put my opponent on defense, and then I can follow up with a number of approaches, or none at all, I might hang back and recast a heal, or drink an ashen estus. When you play with a dagger, you have to take things slow and restrict your playstyle to moments you know you'll win. It's up to your opponent to bait these out of you and then punish.

What's nice about the Aquamarine dagger is that it has a WA dash R1 that is similar to a thrusting sword, giving the dagger an approach that other daggers don't have. Most daggers need to roll into their opponent for the thrust rolling attack, or quickstep. Also the WA R2 has some pretty long range because of the forward momentum. Mostly I was using the WA R1 to punish an opponent who had rolled into me.

Witch's Locks helps counter parry tools. I am very strict and will use it until they put the parry tool away. It has the bonus of being able to hit through walls and corners, and dealing damage through shields.

Murky Staff can actually be a great finishing melee weapon as it outranges a lot of smaller weapons and can roll catch pretty easily. I wouldnt use it throughout the match bc your opponent will choose to trade, but when they are in one-shot range feel free to abuse it, lol. I do have to say that it's important to be sure they are actually in one shot range.
