0https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/levels/doom2/Ports/s-u/syringe Now for another wad I had cut from The Summer of Doom Wads/Mods, I had decided to run it later since it had been updated, It was originally released in December 2019 by Pavern, Tarnsman, Marcaek, and XaSeR Acheron, Won one of the 2020 Cacoawards and was honored as a official addon for the unity port in 2021, That should speak volumes about Syringe.
Containing 7 maps, Syringe runs differently then others wads with it being broken into 3 acts vs episodes of 2 maps each with map 7 being the epilogue, Using a soundtrack by Canadian composer Psychedlic Eyeball, Syringe is moody and threatening, Each map feels textured and mapped with expert care, Since it is maps by authors who worked on wads like Doom The Way I.D. Did, The MAYhem series, and Back to Saturn X, Syringe combines dangerous damage floors with various ambushes to keep you moving.
However, Syringe also takes ammo starvation you may remember from Plutonia Experiment and from Player made wads like Scythe II to a similar degree so you'll need to use infighting, Syringe is hard but I liked it alot, I think it deserved not just it's cacoaward but also a addon status for the unity port well.
