0https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/levels/doom2/megawads/btsx_e1 The Cacoawards have always been a inspiration to me, I started this Doom series originally to focus on the winners and the runner ups but I saw that focusing on not just cacoaward winners but also random wads and also mods began to bring big interest into my channel like my Half-Life and Duke 3D mods too, And with nearly 10 seasons to it's name, I don't plan to quit this series ever or let any of my other series die off.
Going back to 2012 and winning a cacoaward for that year, Back To Saturn X is a series of 3 episode wads, This first episode was also honored as a official addon for the doom unity port, This megawad just gives me chills because it's hard to believe that it's nearly 10 years since it released and it's one of my most played wads of all time.
The mapping and textures of Back to Saturn X is...Spine Tingling to say the least, Using entirely new textures along with searing music from Jimmy, Simon Judd, Project Leader esselfortium, and Stewboy, This wad feels like Doom but if it was made in the modern 21rst century, No map feels alike and the difficulty has the sweet spot of not too easy not too hard, I believe BTSX deserved not just it's cacoaward but it's addon status.
