https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/levels/doom2/Ports/megawads/dbp37_augzen ..And so with this, another season ends on this series but this one was a rollercoaster ride for me, and I hope all of you viewers and subscribers out there. This is the final wad I personally selected to appear here as I had played some wads made by the folks of the Doomer Boards but out of the nearly 49(!) megawads made by these folks, it's this 2021 cacoaward runner up that stood out in my mind and I knew it would fit well as the finale to this season.

The Doomer Board Projects go back to 2018 and it was that year's Cacoawards that a special mention was given to them as "Recommend me a Coffee break set" and I do plan to later next year cover more of them in Season #13, Season #14, and Season #15 next year. I was quite naive never checking these wads out prior to 2021 but the folks of the Doomer Boards have proven that they are a force to be reckoned with in community Projects.

Doomer Board Projects 37 Auger;Zenith was released on July 4rth 2021 with my version, the final build being dropped on July 26th, The brainchild of SuperCupcakeTactics and other minds including Jon Vali (40oz), Lunch Lunch, and Valkiriforce. The storyline takes place in the year 2198 AD, With all cities around the world becoming controlled by A.I. since the beginning of the 21rst century, Demons have attacked Neo Shokton City and are now overwhelming the mostly automated city and it's up to us to send them packing.

I will say, firstly, that Auger Zenith is just.. Incredible in terms of visuals with a blend of colors and textures that look straight out of a cyberpunk comic book mixed with a cartoon, There's a lot of interactivities in Auger Zenith with those little details that the build engine perfected so long ago, And that music a large spinning disk from games like Undertale, Sonic CD gives the cyberpunk vibes even more.

Auger Zenith isn't that hard even on Hurt Me Plently, though later levels do stack hitscanners close together along with surprise archviles. There's also a big emphasis on getting every ammo pickup possible as the last maps really scrounge you on bullets and cells. That being said, Auger;Zenith is a legend in my book, What the Doomer Board Projects folks did here is a rare case of a megawad that I play almost all the time. I had to stop filming soon after, and just simply..yeah have a manly tear to think Doom has come so far since I first play my FIRST ever PWAD which back in 2003 and it was Scythe, Honestly.. I want to see what the next many years will bring to the doom community table.
