https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/levels/doom2/megawads/dmonfear These last 5 episodes for this season represent a small fraction of what you should expect in Season #13, #14, and #15 of this series for next year, I'm gonna be doing a mix of older wads, modern wads, hidden gems and the last five being wads that are so different between each other but still high profile names, Starting it off is a wad that was made by Adam Windsor who later would get a runner up spot in 2018 for Doom 404.

Demonfear was originally a series of 6 episodes and some of the later maps were in 1997's Requiem before this final release in 1999, It is oddly named a 2000 wad and was given a place in the top 100 wads of all time for 1999 at number 8, I've said that I have seen poor looking wads and yeah Mars War and The World of Deth From Heaven To Hell are pretty rough, Demonfear..has not aged well at all.

The storyline in the text file notes that, similar to Doom II's plot, Hell has again invaded earth and it's up to us to find the source of the invasion and seal the portals. The mapping of Demonfear as mentioned looks really jumbly and rough especially in later maps, The map this video showcases alone, I don't even understand how you can make two rooms with two colored keys just to enter a building, it makes no sense to me.. The ammo placements fine but enemy placement is also poor, Almost like the monsters were dumped in clumps all around these maps.

While I greatly enjoyed Doom 404, Adam Windsor's Demonfear may have been revolutionary in 1999 but looking at it now, It's so hard on the eyes and doesn't keep on a straight path, rather bunching together short maps prior to what you'd see in Scythe, Alien Vendetta, and Suspended In Dusk, Perhaps there's fans out there but I didn't like Demonfear.
