https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/levels/doom2/Ports/megawads/mscp_v1a Again deep into the code I go, I had first gotten the first true experience in "slaughtermaps" when I covered Slaughterfest 2011, The 2nd ever episode of this series and I learned a valuable lesson about what skill levels are.. Across nearly 12 seasons now of Doom Wads/Mods, I have seen wads test me in ways that I probably never would've expected in the old days.

This 2021 megawad, Micro Slaughter Community Project was given a honor at that's year's cacoawards as a honorable mention, It's a 18 level mapset with some of the best names giving maps that can be beaten in 5 minutes and are all about slaughter basics with huge ammo dumps, high enemy counts, and oppressive map styling, The wad was recommended for PRBoom+ but I used GZdoom here.

Will preface by saying that MSCP is NOT as mean as other slaughter like wads I've gone over such as the Slaughterfest Trilogy, Any of Ribbiks' Wads, or the infamous Squares.Wad (which I will cover later on), But that doesn't mean that MSCP is easy by any means, The overall name of the game in MSCP is keep running and don't waste ammo as I found out there are fights like in Scythe II, Hell Revealed, and Psycho.Wad that you NEED a specific ammo type and if you are out, the fight is impossible to complete, Restart time.

The only issue I see with Micro Slaughter Community Project is that the last two maps have poor health placement, I'm still stuck on the last map and the Secret Map duel, These ones remind me a lot of Slaughterfest 2012 with their cramped secret maps. I got some bruises out of it but MSCP certainly did something right to be honored by the Cacoawards and bring slaughtermaps in a lite format to players.
