https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/levels/doom2/Ports/a-c/breach Across the years I've looked at wads that have such detail to them that its amazing what the Doom engine can do with today's level editors and details that would've caused computers in the 1990's to catch fire attempting to render them, Doom map and wad making has come so far and for this wad it may be about 6 years old but its one of about three in this season that made the biggest impression on me after a few nights of playing on all 5 diffculties.

Breach is a single level PWAD by Alun Bestor (Viggles) who gained a cacoaward in 2015, This Doomworld I.D. link is different from the original and was published on that site in December 2017, featuring a original track named "Breach", It may be just a single level but as I have learned, never judge a wad or a mod unless you've gone through it.

I've talked about wads that use hyperdetail that left me frustrated like Knee Deep In Zdoom and ones that have impressed me such as Eviternity but Breach is different, This massive UAC facility overrun with hellspawn feels modern and uses only stock Doom textures to impressive results, with all of the map never feeling rushed or repeats of the same rooms, the corrupted part of the map with hell textures is what really caught my attention, Breach is so damn impressive like HeDRoX that it shows mapping can be and still is a art that continues to keep Doom and it's community alive.
