http://heroestospare.com/rabotik/harmony.php The Doom Classic Unity Port I remember back in 2019 was a sad example of poor work but to their credit Bethesda did fix it and not only added Plutonia Experiment, TNT Evilution and Sigil as free downloads but continue to support the ports with wads, and in the case of this one I knew well of it prior to it becoming one of the official addons and the 2nd one by Thomas Vanderbuilt to be added to said ports.

Harmony was originally released on December 10th 2009 and was one of the winners at that year's cacoawards, It's a 13 level wad that has a original story where following a nuclear war between north and south parts of the world, the men of the world have mutated and become "The Pax Pox" who are trying to ride the world of the impure, and opposing them is the "Amazons", women who survived the war lead by one woman, Harmony on a quest for vengeance when her friend is kidnapped.

First of all, Harmony looks nothing at all like Doom but like it's own actual game with a bold color palate and claymation style that Harmony is unique for, Our default weapon the neutron gun has unlimited ammo but bad fire rate, Crystal grenades the old fashioned shotgun and other weapons. Enemies are all well animated and are a *real* threat as they can hurt you bad even on the "Hey Not Too Rough" style difficulty, Harmony also relies heavily on crouching and jumping so I had to map those to my mouse's two side buttons.

Harmony does have some rough spots with ammo being tough to ration as the enemies are spongy so secrets are mandatory to locate for enough ammo to get further into the wad, There are some parts that just.. really start to piss me off and the final boss is so cheap that Harmony nearly is derailed in terms of quality, and this boss, "Echinda" ranks as among the worst ever custom monsters/bosses in a Player made wad, Still Harmony is unique and I think it deserved it's cacoaward 100%.
