This is almost exactly 7m short of my PB, but it's an exhibition of a different strategy - the Day 3 shotgun/turret push. You can survive 65 minutes with almost no upgrades if you get them on Day 1, that's Anti's //extremely early// push. You can also survive with almost no upgrades if you get them on Day 3. So why not set up for two days first, then respawn with a lot more stuff to go build? That's this.
I'm spending more actual time pushing than Anti, which kind of misses the point of the strat, and I suspect also more actual time pushing than my own Day 6 landmine push, which is //really// failing the point. It might also be slower (compared to my D6 landmine) because of the much larger petrochem build. Thing is, with the moduled RCUs plan pivoting the resource bottleneck from copper more towards plastic, I'm not even sure 3 lanes of copper is the top priority any more. So I should try D3 shotgun push + my normal early petrochem sometime.
Things I like about this: 1/ it's far more viable to secure & tap oil outside the perimeter, which means potential richness (and map viability) impossible for a D6 push strat. Which does play into the "build bigger petrochem", yes. And 2/ it seems a lot more viable for WD Hard than Anti's "just walk straight out from the silo" D1 play. Damage 3 won't see you through a Hard run, which also needs 2x nest kills for the same upgrade points, can't just YOLO 12 turrets into the 2nd cluster of nests. It's why I'm taking fish, a shotgun, wall, having a more careful sustainable push. D3 is probably still too late for WD Hard, though I should leave talking about that until after I've, you know, actually got a video of it happening.
So 70m is kind of reasonable for a plan that's still solidifying, sure.
