They say the dog is man's best friend, but does that also include cybernetically enhanced canines which need to have their brains replaced once in a while? Obsidian seems to think so, as one of the non-human companions available to recruit in New Vegas is a very unusual four-legged friend named Rex.

Rex's companion quest takes the player to Jacobstown, which lies deep within a mountain range featuring what's perhaps the most surprising and substantially different new environment introduced in the game. I thought clean water was a big deal, but snowy mountains and a real forest is an even bigger change from the typical post-nuclear wasteland. And oh, anyone who's played Fallout 2 will recognize who the leader of Jacobstown is.

This clip ends with my character reaching level 20 (as previously mentioned, the level cap is 30). After having maxed out Guns and Speech I'm currently focusing on Medicine to get the most out of my growing collection of Stimpacks but Survival, Science and Barter (and probably also Explosives, for the sheer fun of it) are examples of other skills I'd really want to raise a bit as well.
