The best way to summarize this chapter is that the green units are both the problem and the solution. They act on their own and have troubles to kill anything, but they are also the priority targets for the enemy units.

There are a lot of side objectives to do here. Isadora joins my team at the beginning of the chapter, but I must also recruit Rath with Lyn and Heath with Eliwood/Hector. Furthermore, I must go to the secret shop and get the Brave Axe.

The three new units provide some fresh air to my team. With 16 Spd, Isadora is the fastest mounted of the game, and that’s literally her only advantage over Marcus. She is unfortunately slow down by most weapons because of her 6 Con, but this issue will be mitigated soon. Rath is the only available Nomad of the game, and while his stats are average, they will be decent enough after promotion to make some good uses of him.

Finally, there is Heath. With his hard mode bonus, he is the strongest flyer who can carry Hector (14 Str and 11 Spd after promotion, nothing impressive), and thanks to that he will be a key unit for some of the late game chapters, and he will receive a special treatment.

On turn 1, Kent must rescue the knight next to Isadora because he is preventing Lyn from trading a door key. My two paladins are taking the east side with Lyn and Ninian following them. It's important for Marcus to kill as much enemies as possible on the enemy phase, and the only weapon able to do that is the Silver Sword (about half of the enemies have reaver weapons on this chapter), so I ended up with only 4 uses left on it at the end of the enemy phase.

On the west side, one of the two knights must survive the first turn to be able to bait Heath on the next one (else the target would be Raven, and then he would have serious a chance of death) for a recruitement on turn 3. Fiora and Legault ended their turn on range of the two chests while Sain went for the secret shop to purcharse chest keys and staves (out of these, the Lockpick was a waste of money, and the Torche staff wasn't necessary to reach the needed staff ranks, though I didn't know at the time).

Rath is recruited on turn 2, and he made a crucial action by rescue-dropping "his" mercenary. With this, the enemies will attack this green unit instead of Marcus (that is, if Marcus isn't equipped with an axe, which is why I gave him a 1-use Hand Axe to accurately hit the boss and then switch to a sword).

On turn 3, I trade one of the chest keys to Fiora so that she can open with Legault the two chests. Even with WTD, Isadora's hit on the boss is pretty reliable (69% Display/80% True).
