The desert map of the game, and unfortunately it’s a rout chapter. The movement cost on sand is 2 for foot units and 4 for horse units (3 for Rath, flyers and magic units take no movement penalty). Out of my few units who can move freely, there is one who shines here : Nosferatu!Canas.

He has 5 AS when using Nosferatu, which is enough to not be doubled by any generic unit apart from a nomad who acts at the end of the enemy phase, and he is strong enough to 2HKO all of them, so he can take care of the north part of the map. However he is OHKO by the two boss and can only do cheap damage to them with Luna, so this job is left for Hawkeye that I recruit on turn 2.

Hawkeye has pretty solid stats beside his little 11 Spd, and his class gives him a bonus +15 critical rate. He is my first unit with more fighting power than Marcus, which is appreciated since Marcus joins the team on chapter 12.

Speaking of Marcus, he is sent with Heath on the west part of the map to take care of some wyvern riders and share some Exp. Heath has a crucial role as he must get some of the hidden items (using the desert item trick) and only a flyer can get them in time. I got the Ocean seal for a free 25000g (sorry Dart), a Body Ring for Isadora, the Filla’s Might and the Eclipse tome. Getting the Light Brand could have helped me at some place, but it wasn't possible without reliability issues.

My other units must help Canas and Hawkeye with their duties. Rath and Priscilla are deployed to gain as much Exp as possible (Rath must be level 10 after this chapter), as well as Ninian to dance people. The last slot is for Kent, though other units may have been able to replace him (Isadora or Fiora for example).

Overal CoS : 15~20%
