Mages, mages everywhere. There are literally 5 units in this chapter who aren’t magical units (including Linus with his Light Brand), while there are close to 10 long range staves/tomes users. Any unit with high Res is valuable here, though everyone took Pure Waters because you never have enough Res on this map.

Among the multiple threats, the biggest ones are the 27 Mag Sleep!Druid (not reliably avoidable, except maybe with Pent with a 50/50 chance), the high speed Valkyries (I checked that they had no more than 20 Spd, else even Jaffar can’t double them) and of course Linus. I mean, it’s not fun to take down a 62 HP/16 Spd/22 Def/21 Res unit, particularly when you can’t crit him (technically, Legault is fast enough to steal his Iron Rune, but good luck to make him cross the whole map).

I split my team into two groups, one heading to the west to kill the most dangerous enemies and another heading to the north to take care of the rest. The west group is led by Harken, as he is by far my best unit with a 2-range weapon, and Jaffar, because Harken will not be able to stay in this group for too long. They are assisted by Heath for his 10 Move rescue/dropping and Priscilla for her high mobility healings.

The north team is led by Pent and Ninian, and the 3 other slots are available for any unit with combat capability. I ended up choosing Louise (A support really helps here), Isadora and Hawkeye, but Farina and Marcus were also serious aspirants. The highest priorities of the two groups are the long range users, who are promoted and usually hard to kill.

The key point of the strategy was to kill the Sleep!Druid as soon as possible. By forcing her to use her full movement to put to sleep Harken, she ended up in range of the two Heroes, and they have a low Res but can ORKO her (as long as she doesn’t crit), meaning that Pent can reliably berserk one of them to kill the Druid (this is also good because Heroes are hard to kill at this point of the game).

Once Harken is done with the 2 Valkyries and the Druid, he must come back to the starting point because he is the only one who can ORKO the Wyvern Riders (some of them have Javelins). It’s also possible for Vaida to ORKO them, but it may fail if some of them proc too much Spd.

About Vaida, she has some amazing stats (47 Hp, 22 Str, 23 Def, 12 Con), which is slightly offset by a low 14 Spd and 7 Res, but she is definitely valuable. As a side effect of her high Con, she can’t carry Hector.

The last turn is a little bit messy because what is still alive may be different due to some random factors (particularly the berserked Heroes), and Jaffar is not sure to win against Linus (27% chance of death). I am not really happy with this ending, but there is not much I can do about that, as Linus is too tanky. Oh and the great Hector got his promotion, now he is ready to slaughter people (or not).

Overall CoS : ~1%

Here is a list of some of the events (not the full list) that should happen (and their CoS), though for some of them it doesn't mean there are no (shaky) back up strats :

-T2 PP : Heath killing the Valkyrie (57%), Pent hitting the Berserk (78%)
-T2 EP : Priscilla dodging the Sleep (81%), Hero killing the Sleep!Druid (74%)
-T3 EP : Louise dodging the Berserk (80%), Jaffar or Heath dodging 1 of the status staves (96%)
-T4 PP : Harken finishing the Valkyrie (93%), Pent hitting the Berserk (83%)
-T4 EP : Louise dodging the Berserk (73%), Jaffar dodging the Sleep (79%)
-T5 EP : Jaffar dodging the Berserk (73%) and the Sleep (74%)
