This chapter can be cleared in one turn, however there is Wallace to recruit at the north-east of the map. He can be recruited with various units coming from Lyn’s story, but the most effective one is Florina (she can cross mountains by herself). But there is a serious problem, because on the north-west of the map there is an Iron Balista, which is a 13 might bow with 15 range.

Since Swordreaver!Hawkeye can easily solo kill Lloyd (and he is the only one who can reliably fight him), the rest of the team can concentrate on the side objectives. In addition to Wallace, I want to get the Purge from the bishop, visit the 2 villages for an Earth Seal and a Silence Staff, and do some shopping to get reaver weapons and a second Restore Staff.

The Wallace’s team consists of my 3 flyers and Ninian, and luckily Ninian can barely take one hit from the mercenary at the Earth Seal village. Isadora is sent on turn 1 to clear the enemies near the shops, however there is a hero who is particularly hard to take down with his high stats, and it requires multiple rounds of fight to take him down (else it's not an issue if he stays alive as long as he is not on a shop).

The strategy to recruit Wallace is straightforward : drop Ninian as close as possible to him by the end of turn 3 while being out of reach of the Iron Balista, then dance Florina on the next turn to speak with Wallace. With this, Florina can reach pretty much every tiles at the north of the map, so as long as Wallace isn’t a moron Florina will be able to reach him. Also, Heath isn’t OHKO by the Iron Balista, that’s why he was not even its target (else I could have given him the Angelic Robe as he will get it on the next chapter anyway).

About Wallace, well he is not THAT bad. 34 HP and 19 Def allow him to take a lot of hits, especially when the opposition can’t double him, and 16 Str is also good. In fact Wallace is preferable over Geitz, as the latter one is pretty much a Hawkeye V2 (more speed, less Res, no crit bonus or mountain/sea access) and doesn’t come with a brand new Silver Lance.

Despite the total opposition between their stats, Wallace and Raven can do the same job for the upcoming chapters, i.e. throwing axes from a safe place to wyvern riders.
