Third of the warrior of darkness battles.
Unlike the other 3 mandatory bosses, Two-Headed Dragon has nothing to threaten us with besides his regular physical attack. However, this physical is the most destructive physical that can strike us at this point, because the boss has by far the highest attack stat of any boss we've faced so far and will have faced when we (hopefully) complete the challenge.
This is why I've been postponing fighting this boss until the Viking has gained enough levels to survive the first turn of the battle. On the first turn, a Bard should fortify the Viking's defence by singing, another character should use a Turtle Shell (for a stacking protect-like effect that lasts for a dozen or so turns) and the third should heal the Viking with an Elixir while he provokes the boss.
This setup allows us to withstand the entire battle assuming the Bard sings the protect song every odd turn (the other turn she can safely help the attackers by casting Requiem for gradually deteriorating damage), but this strategy will inevitably fail if the boss lands a critical attack on the very first turn.
So it still requires some luck, but only on the first turn (whereas the previous two bosses were far more luck-reliant, but also your own choices were even more important, and decisions taken in the middle of the battle based on context, but mainly just choosing something and hoping it ends up saving your skin).
As you can see, I have some unusual guests here in two Black Belts. Because two characters can be turned into anything, as long as there's a Viking and a Bard in the party, I opt for the class that provides the best HP increase upon level-up. They're both at job lv. 1, but don't hit too badly, seeing how all my party gained some Melee Proficiency while training against Goblins).
So that's about it for Two-Headed Dragon, Cerberus is the last boss we face before the final battle.
