Last boss fought before the Cloud of Darkness. Yeah.

The special thing about Cerberus is that he's the only boss out of the four warriors of dark that acts three times every turn. However, two (if not three) of those actions will be regular physical attacks very easily tanked by the usual Viking Luneth setup.

Fighting Cerberus is different from fighting the other warriors of Dark. The success is entirely stat-dependent, not luck-reliant. With the HP and defensive stat increases we'd got in the previous battles, we can survive the magic and attacks here with just a bit effort.

Protect Ring is preferred on the Viking. Though providing less raw defence, it halves elemental damage, and Cerberus has all the -aga spells (the three main ones anyway). The loss in defence is compensated by using a Turtle Shell in the beginning of the battle.

Requiem does fractional damage so it gets weaker as the boss loses HP. When the battle is almost over, it's actually more effective to use items like Chocobo Wraths instead.

Unlike Echidna and Ahriman, Cerberus won't cast Meteor when at low health, so we can play this battle slowly with a party of two Bards instead of the quicker Ninja/Devout/Viking/Bard party. This allows us to save more Shurikens for the decisive final battle against Cloud of Darkness.
