FF3 DS - Low Level Game Part VII: Ahriman

And... this marks my 400th video on YouTube. Yaaay! No special party on this occasion or anything though.
Also, YouTube just switched me to yet another new channel design. Anybody else see it? It's fucking horrible.
Ahriman, if you look at it superficially, should be easier than Echidna. -aga spells instead of status effects, and the only spell he's got after which physical attacks will ignore the Viking's Provoke is Curaja, which he'll begin casting on himself as soon as his health starts getting low. I even wanted to fight him with a party of two Bards to conserve my Shuriken stock for the final boss.
But Ahriman is unpredictable. Sometimes his spells will do a lot more damage than usual, killing the Viking. Why that happens, I have no clue, but sometimes he'll just do double damage with his magic. Not even a combination of a protect through Turtle Shell, Bard's Minne enhancing defence and Bard's Apollo Harp magic defence boosting ability secure from it.
The Viking will just die and you'll be in trouble. Like I am in the video. When one character dies in this challenge, you might as well reset, chances of a team of three or less to continue the battle and get back on their feet are tiny.
But, I seem to have somehow succeeded here. In spite of other nasty things, like even MORE unexpected deaths not to mention petrification (the Viking can't be petrified because of the shields he's equipped with, and one character has a Ribbon, but he just never hits those, huh).
So it's the best of the four warriors of Dark battles I've recorded and a nice way to celebrate 400 videos, fun fun battle.
