The video shows the pre-Narshe Battles stuff, in the following order:

1) Getting Gau.
2) Doing the necessary preparation on the Veldt - I show the most important Rages at this point.
3) Locke's Scenario & the boss battle against the Tunnel Armour,

...as well as a lot of other stuff I've neglected to mention here.

Once you get Gau, you are interested in getting all the best Rages available. Get Bomb, Darkside, Stray Cat (not all that spectacular in an LLG, really) and Over-Mind, those ones are especially useful in the beginning.

I also got 4 Green Berets by fighting Telstars, so that my entire party has higher max HP. This is a great helmet until shops start offering better stuff.

Upon leaving the Veldt, make sure you encounter Aspik and Anguiform, their Rages are invaluable!


Oh yeah, and we're supposed to fight TunnelArmr / Tunnel Armour at the end of Locke's scenario. This battle can be quite hard IF you happen to suck at timing Celes's Runic and forget to heal, but overall it's not too hard, just somewhat long-drawn-out (since Locke hitting from the back row - where he should be as long as he doesn't want die - hasn't got much damage potential).

I got a Thunder Rod in this cave and tossed it in this video, showing the best way to defeat him. It's not quite a one-hit KO though, you need to help out by attacking a couple of times.

It wasn't a big fuss to beat him without the Rod though, so resetting the game and doing it all over - this time without the Rod's help - is a decent idea.

P.S. If you take the rod, you won't get your Hero's Ring from this chest in the World of Ruin. Personally I find Hero's Rings to be no more useful than regular Earrings in a low level game, so I neglected ignoring the chest for a supposedly "better" alternative.

I can already think of a boss in the Magitek Factory who is usually one hell of an annoyance (yup, one of the Numbers)and who is the best candidate for eating this Rod, literally.
