There may be actions that are done for practical purpose or for no particular purpose in the playthrough; the mandatory actions done in this episode are the following and they can be used as a guide (note that during this playthrough, certain actions can only be done during a short period of time and others can be postponed; note also that there is the possibility I may have missed events like dialogue replacement, sprite change, additional scenes and so on, since those are not generally considered as goals and are not documented at all):
* Trigger the two first battles against the soldiers running from left to right in Alexandria's dungeon and pass them without gaining EXP points for Steiner (not sure if triggering these battles meets the requirements of the challenge, but I triggered both battles just in case since one of them can be considered a unique battle to trigger because the unlimited battles are the ones that follows it it seems; timecode: from 02:24 to 03:54).
* Remove Blood Sword and any other precious item from Marcus if any (timecode: 05:16).
* Obtain a Tent (timecode: 09:02).
* Obtain an Ice Brand (timecode: 09:05).
* Read the letter from Stiltzkin to Mosh with Mosh (timecode: 15:46).
* Pass the first mandatory battle against Bandersnatch without gaining EXP points for Freya (timecode: from 24:33 to 25:14).
* Ensure that Vivi can use Stop for the rest of this section in Alexandria Castle's underground (timecode: 26:52).
* Trigger the optional battle against Bandersnatches in Alexandria Castle's underground and pass it without gaining EXP points (timecode: from 27:02 to 30:16).
* Pass the two first mandatory battles of Zidane's team against black mages Type C and Bandersnatches without gaining EXP points (timecode: from 31:07 to 42:03).
* Make sure that at least Steiner is equipped with Chain Mail if Freya is not equipped with the item (remember also that at least 100 copies of Silver Gloves must be possessed at this point and 100 copies must be carried to Disc 4; timecode: 42:40).
* Pass the last three mandatory battles in Alexandria Castle's underground without gaining EXP points for the main characters (timecode: from 43:27 to 47:35).
* Accept to take the letter from Mosh to Monty (timecode: 48:20).
Extra info/corrections/comments on this episode:
* Note that in the guide appearing in the annex Excel file of which the download link is at the bottom of this description, I made equipping Steiner with a Chain Mail and the 100th copy of Silver Gloves a requirement when it shouldn't be, as I had forgotten that Steiner could be controlled at the start of Disc 3 when fighting Mistodons.
* This is not mandatory but I made sure both Steiner and Freya are equipped with Chain Mail before losing their control in the field (in order to be able to optimize the items possessed in case I decide later to absorb the EXP points of Tantarian with another character than Freya).
* Climhazzard should be used as soon as possible to end the second battle in which Beatrix faces Bandersnatches (the battle at 45:21); you may get a Game Over in this battle in like 1 case out of 3, because Thundara will almost always kill Beatrix if used by the second monster of the list.
* Note that before I made Steiner leave the party, I equipped him with Coral Ring and activated his Insomniac, Cover and Auto-Potion support abilities (learned thanks to the friendly monsters encountered during the Marcus' training section), to make the last mandatory battle against Bandersnatches in this section safe.
