There may be actions that are done for practical purpose or for no particular purpose in the playthrough; the mandatory actions done in this episode are the following and they can be used as a guide (note that during this playthrough, certain actions can only be done during a short period of time and others can be postponed; note also that there is the possibility I may have missed events like dialogue replacement, sprite change, additional scenes and so on, since those are not generally considered as goals and are not documented at all):
* Deliver the letter from Mogryo to Mocchi (timecode: 08:15).
* Choose to touch the platform again (this changes the position of Zidane's head; timecode: 09:40).
* Obtain a Phoenix Down (timecode: 14:41).
* Obtain a Hi-Potion (timecode: 16:14).
* Obtain a Healing Rod (requires pushing the switch appearing at 21:02; timecode: 21:24).
* Obtain an Ether (timecode: 24:03).
* Obtain a Lamia's Flute (timecode: 25:27).
* Obtain a Remedy (timecode: 26:17).
* Pass the two mandatory battles in the leaf platform without gaining EXP points (timecode: from 28:17 to 31:30).
* Choose to take the leaf platform to go back to the top (this changes slightly the sprites' positions of the characters; timecode: 32:24).
* Talk to Garnet (timecode: 33:02).
* Obtain an Elixir (timecode: 33:13).
* Talk to Vivi (timecode: 33:19).
* Talk to Eiko (timecode: 33:25).
* Obtain a Brigandine (timecode: 33:49).

Extra info/corrections/comments on this episode:
* Note that If I had to do this again, I would choose the option "Ask Eiko" at 09:46 instead of "Try standing on it", to triggers an extra line of dialogue from Eiko (though an argument in favor of the option that I have chosen -"Try standing on it" then- is that when Zidane says "Alright, then!", it has the singularity that Eiko is placed in a slightly different position).
* My prep for the mandatory battles in the leaf platform consisted of making Eiko under Zombie status and Auto-Reflect and having a Magical Defense good enough to survive Dracozombie's Zombie Breath (the battle in which I zombified Eiko is the one from 16:30 to 19:00 by the way), and making everyone at full HP and having a Defense good enough to survive the physical attacks of Zombies.
* The goal during the mandatory battle against Zombies was to make Eiko the only survivor since she was in Zombie status, and to do so, it is preferable to ensure that Eiko is the only team member not KOed when the Zombie(s) left is(are) at critical HP due to the usage of Phoenix Down.
* Don't pay too much attention to the fight against Soul Cage because I hadn't prepared it and so I made a lot of mistakes that made me waste time: I was planning to use Carbuncle but I realized during the battle that reflecting Fira could possibly result in the use of Fire Blade (I should have then equipped Eiko with Cachusha for Ability Up in order to use a better robe than Silk Robe). I also wanted to deactivate Auto-Potion to not waste too much time but I forgot to do so. Anyway, the preparation for Soul Cage's battle simply requires that the characters have good physical and magical defenses and to deactivate Auto-Potion because Garnet or Eiko can heal the whole team.
* It is recommended to steal the Brigandine from Soul Cage so that both Zidane and Amarant will benefit from Ability Up when getting AP from friendly monsters in Disc 2.
* It is also recommended from now on to finish the easy boss battles with everyone alive to absorb APs since Ability Up should be available for most characters.
