The last two maps Rafa spends in the party as an active guest - Yugoo Woods and Riovanes Castle I / Gate. She does re-appear on another map very soon, in the next video, and the maps is actually infamous because of how difficult it is to keep her alive sometimes, and after that both she and Malak join. These two do actually join at lv. 1, because that's the exact party average in this challenge, but they're extremely scrubby due to lacking the abilities we want them to possess in order to function about as well as the generics we have (yeah I know, a generic Thief or regular Squire are also really useless, but at least we often have Haste and Phoenix Down at the very least to make these guys perform at least decently well).

RNG for Yuguo Woods:

13 Ramza - Summoner
12 Crono - Oracle
13 Lenneth - Squire
12 Mitsuru - Thief
12 Ryu - Time Mage

It's yet another undead map, this time with human characters! They're significantly tougher than undead monsters too, due to extensive spell lists (sometimes) and good equipment, namely White Robes preventing us from abusing magic.

Luckily, Phoenix Down still works, and without it the battle is somewhat of a sandbag fest, though by no means impossible.

Rafa is reclassed into Knight because I wanted Ramza to learn Knight's Equip Armour, hoping it would facilitate the last Wiegraf fight that he takes to do solo (in retrospect, it wouldn't have helped, nor did he get to learn it on time).

Rafa doesn't act nearly as often as I'd like her to, so the spillover JP Ramza gets is minimal at best.

Ramza is lucky to have spent more time as a Summoner on this map. His only ability, Titan, is ineffective against the enemies here, but I'm hoping he can learn some more good stuff the Summoner class offers. Still, out of 13 jobs, you're pretty likely to not get Summoner ever again, but one can hope.

RNG for the first Riovanes Castle map:

13 Ramza - Monk
12 Crono - Chemist
13 Lenneth - Mediator
12 Mitsuru - Squire
12 Ryu - Time Mage (again)

Archers, Archers everywhere... Normally I fire a Leviathan on their asses, or at least a Ramuh if I'm playing some kind of MBO challenge.

These girls can gang up on a single unit and quickly KO them even if they were previously really healthy. Ramza starts dangerously close to the chicks, so I give him my best mantle for some okay frontal avo. 50/50-ish chances of being hit mean he's more likely surviving than not.

Ramza is a Monk though, which is a nightmare due to the low HP problem (this is where Equip Armour would have been really helpful). He has a high risk of being OHKO'd by the Knight that starts close to him.

There are two more Knights lurking in the waters, and the floating one can get in attacking range of the other party as soon as second turn pretty easily, so we should keep our distance.

I was sorta lucky with getting a Chemist and a Mediator for this fight because guns are just too awesome here - 64 dmg at neutral compat, and 8 panel range means we can keep the enemies far away forever, which helps against the Knights. This is also perfect for having reliable means of damage against Knights' ridiculous evasion (which covers some magic too this late into the game).

I suppose I should say the Archers were completely neutralised in this fight. Ramza had a mantle on, and both the gun users got Arrow Guard reaction instead of the usual Weapon Guard (useless when guns are equipped). Seeing 17% displayed hit was a pleasure, as was getting Ramza upstairs for sweet revenge with his fists.

Not everything went as smoothly though - Ramza got charmed just before he tried to exercise his vengeance (with 10 speed accumulated from Speed Save procs) and even revived a Knight down below. I also overestimated my ability to determine whether a gunshot can connect at diagonal range and fired in the air instead, but the Knight was nothing dangerous and I did it right next time.

At the end of this fight, Ramza gets enough Monk JP to unlock the Geomancer job. This could be pretty handy if we could get both Attack UP and a knightsword in Squire/Knight later on. I guess Counter Flood is also fun if we can get it. Sadly, neither Equip Armour nor X-Potion were learnt via spillover JP, and I was kinda putting a lot of hope into these skills for the Wiegraf solo battle.

The next video contains a very big highlight of this run (and I guess any run?), featuring both the solo Wiegraf / Velius battle and saving Rafa from Elmdore on the rooftops, so look forward to that!
