Level 1
Random Reclass
Mandatory Battles Only (see first video in the playlist at the bottom of this description for a full explanation of rules)

The RNG gave me the following classes for this map:
Ramza - Archer
Crono - Knight
Lenneth - Knight
Mitsuru - Squire

The only crossbow available at this point is pretty weak, yet being able to shoot from distance without moving and reach unreachable enemies can be beneficial. Dressing up two Knights drained all my remaining money (I couldn't buy myself another pair of boots for example), but a Knight is a good class, especially male because of the higher PA. Good bulk, high attack with the best swords, and some evasion - though my level 1 code keeps removing my shields (they just disappear, meaning I lose them forever) when the battle starts, and only mine not the opposition's. Squire is a bit too weak, but any opportunity to learn Gained Jp UP and Move+1 is a good opportunity.

I forgot to mention this, but Delita and Algus aren't affected by the Level 1 / random reclass rules, nor will any future guests be, meaning I can do whatever I please with them. My desire is to make them good enough to help me win, yet not quite good enough to do all the work for me - as that would make the party extremely weak when the guests are gone. I keep both of them as Squires for now, just so that my other characters can learn Gained Jp UP quicker with spillover JP.

I always think of this map as easy, but that's because I tend to have a Wizard, or even two, to simplify it by quite a lot. The enemies are usually cockblocked by Algus choking the point, while Wizard get AoE damage done on multiple units at once, after which rounding up is easy enough with the stragglers still alive.

Here, I was given only melee units, so I just try to score as many early kills as possible to give me a number advantage over the enemy. This goes well in Ramza's group, even though Delita knocking the first Monk back makes it more difficult to quickly eliminate him (I kill both the Monks around the same time, which is quite a relief, though Delita died earlier), but kinda fails in Algus's group, where the female Squire gets KO'd rather quickly. Ramza revives her before she crystallises and she dodges a 95%, but the enemy gets lucky with evasion towards the end too.

Strategies involving holding the chokepoints weren't as successful for me, as I was sandbagging and running out of potions with the enemy having some form of healing to outlast me and some of my characters were crystallising so I adapted a more offensive strat which worked in the end.
