The two battles against Miluda in chapter 1.

RNG for the Thieves Fort fight:

Ramza - Knight
Crono - Wizard
Lenneth - Squire
Mitsuru - Thief

Quite lucky though a Thief is pretty much dead weight unless I spend the JP on Steal Heart and gamble with its usually low accuracy (varies a good bit depending on compat). I'd rather keep building up JP for Move+2 though, even if it takes quite long to get there under the rules I chose.

The biggest luck comes from Crono getting Wizard though. Though it's a male unit, black magic is just so fabulous in this game, especially in chapter 1 where nothing has good avoid against it (and when magic evasion becomes a thing, most people just switch to summons - we're probably not getting Summoner access for a very long time in this challenge).

There's a power-up to Thunder spells in rainy weather on this map, so zapping Miluda is the best way to deal damage to her.

There's an enemy thief with Steal Heart but he doesn't get to commit any crimes.

Crono unlocked Monk after the fight. I don't think I ever saw him in this job yet though! Lenneth learnt Gained Jp UP, which is always handy for learning skills (a big problem in this run).

RNG for the second Miluda battle at Lenalia Plateau:

Ramza - Knight (again)
Crono - Knight
Lenneth - Archer
Mitsuru - Knight

Three Knights, which is one of the better earlygame melee classes to be stuck with due to the extra HP (and the lack of equips that add to either PA or speed) granting good bulk.

The only problem was getting armour for all three of them at once, which basically meant I ran out of money completely (and since I only now noticed I'd been losing Escutcheons due to an error in my gameshark code for the No Experience cheat, I had to buy even more shields).

Money is generally a problem in this challenge because you should be prepared to reclass into anything any time, so you end up buying stuff for every class (good thing some of those equips overlap).

Anyway, about this map... Miluda needs to be KO'd this time, not just reduced to critical HP, and her allies are much stronger - no more useless thieves but instead we face bulky female Knights, powerful Wizards and Time Mages who usually pack Haste which can give the opposition a big advantage because I don't get to learn Haste... for a very long time, let's say.

One of my units is an Archer, which is actually good because I get a lot of range and this allows me to utilise several units at once to team up and kill some of the deadly casters midcharge - while they're charging one of their spells. With the casters gone, the rest of the battle goes rather swiftly.

I had some luck with Zodiac compat it seems - Delita was dealing a whopping 45 damage per hit (let me tell you that right now in chapter 2 I'm used to my units dealing half as much damage sometimes, just because their stats are stuck at lv. 1) and when Miluda started attacking my Archer it turned out she had Worst compatibility - Miluda is pretty dangerous otherwise (in terms of both attacking her and defending against her).

Also, note Mitsuru getting Hi-Potion from a crystallised enemy... None of my units will have the chance to use Hi-Potion for a veeeery long time.

Delita stayed a Squire because I still want people to learn Gained Jp UP followed by Move+1, and Ramza is a fantastic support unit when he learns Yell.

Ramza learnt Move+1 after this fight, coincidentally.
