This is an optional fight, and is actually the second encounter with X-ATM, as the first one was with Cloud @ the beginning of the game (which I didn't record). Anywho, Protect Vest is there to reduce Shoot damage, and we throw on the Silver Armlet for a +10 boost to Magic. The Wizer Staff is an interesting weapon in that it gives a whopping 40 to Luck, a small crit boost chance, is back-row compatible, AND it hits all enemies. However, it doesn't do damage, but rather drains the entire enemy party's MP. This is actually very useful in later fights as it gives us a way to drain MP before Osmose shows up, but due to the way absorption works in New Threat, you don't absorb the same amount drained, but instead, you get 25% of the amount drained. Otherwise, this weapon would be insanely overpowered and you wouldn't really need Ethers.

Anywho, onto the boss. Pretty straightforward, really. We don't care about Aux Lasers, but we'll want to use Barrier to reduce the damage from Stinger Missile, as that can do nearly 300 damage, however, it seems to miss more often than not (or maybe I just got lucky). When the tail goes up, it'll use a pair of X-Shocks, which also can do some decent damage, but can be absorbed by Aerith's Geo Stance. Basically, we spam Bolt, heal when necessary, Barrier when necessary until it goes down. We get Tifa's Motor Drive after winning, which won't be necessary to use.
