Both of these fights are dangerous to deal with in general, and we have to be extremely careful, especially against the Ancient Dragons.
Hecteyes: These guys are very annoying in the fact that they will counter EVERYTHING you do to them with either a magical attack that deals damage (the red drain animation) or a magical attack that both drains some MP and inflicts Silence (the blue drain animation). That silence is the reason why Aerith has Fairy Ring equipped for this. Hitting them both at the same time will trigger both their counterattacks, and if done as they're getting their turns, you could eat four attacks at once, and possibly game over. These things are weak to poison, so I just cast Bio on them and hope for the poison proc. We have to stay healed up at all times, and only attack when Aerith is at or near full HP, especially if MBarrier is down. We do want to try to keep that up as well; those red drain attacks deal over 500 damage without it. Basically we poison them, then cast Beta on them when we get the opportunity to.
Ancient Dragons: This is a forced pincer attack, and these guys are extremely deadly. It is very easy to die here, so we absolutely have to be careful. In fact, we pretty much need to heal after every attack they do, because these guys can attack twice a turn sometimes, their physical attack can critically strike, and they have the potential to basically two shot Aerith from full HP to 0. For offense, I have set up Magic Counter + Gravity for the Demi spells, and for defense, Magic Counter + Restore. Using Planet Protector helps out a bit, but they're still dangerous even with Barrier/MBarrier up. If Magic Counter + Restore doesn't trigger, we need to heal. If it does trigger, we wait until both dragons attack, and then if it doesn't trigger, we need to heal. If MC + Demi triggers, even better. We ONLY can afford to attack with Aqualung when at full HP and with Barrier/MBarrier up, though I did take some slight risks.
