There are not one, but TWO Demon Gates, well, Satan's Gates here, and this fight can get pretty nasty if you allow it to be. This fight is a bit similar to the Ancient Dragons fight in that it's a pincer attack, so that alone makes things dangerous. They don't have all that much HP, and they are weak to earth, so Quake/Quake2 is going to be our main source of offense here. I set up two Magic Counter + Earth combos, one with Quake2, the other with Quake, and the third Magic Counter is linked with Restore. We also want to have Jem Ring as well as Rune Armlet equipped to prevent the effect of Deaf-Eye, which inflicts both silence and gradual petrify.


As they take damage, the walls will move up slightly. When they do, they will take much less damage from magic, so we need to pace our attacks. Of course, if Aerith counters, then we can't do anything about that. If one moves up, then I try to target the other with Quake2. The targetting in this battle is absolutely atrocious, by the way - you can see I was having a time just trying to select my target! Also, we want to be careful of Blasting Zone, which deals over 1,100 damage, and two of those back to back means game over. We also want to get Planet Protector up as soon as possible to reduce some of the damage and to heal up a bit. When one goes down, it's a simple as spamming Quake2 on the other until it goes down.
