0Welcome one and all to this special 12-hour, 12-part speedrun challenge that happens to be the most difficult achievement in one of my favorite JRPGs of all time: Final Fantasy IX, as well as one of the most grueling sidequests in the FF series as a whole.
Today we return to Alexandria after Queen Brahne's death and commemorate Garnet's new throne ascension. Then it's straight to Treno to play cards (yay...) because why not? After that, we help Steiner and Beatrix defend Alexandria from mist monsters, followed up by a trip back to Lindblum to turn Cid into a frog. Assigning the Pluto Knights to their proper positions warrants Angel Earrings, and having MP Attack and Undead Killer make Steiner a beast in the Mistodon gauntlet. Also, it really helps to throw away all your Tetra Master cards so you can get 5 good new ones from Tot that will ensure wins almost every time
