0Welcome one and all to this special 12-hour, 12-part speedrun challenge that happens to be the most difficult achievement in one of my favorite JRPGs of all time: Final Fantasy IX, as well as one of the most grueling sidequests in the FF series as a whole.
Today we split up the party to tackle the 4 elemental shrines, after which we dive headfirst into Terra where Zidane learns about his origin and goes up against powerful demons amidst an existential crisis. Being underleveled at this point really takes its toll, especially when you're more or less alone in battle. It actually took me many resets just to be able to beat Lich and the 3 Terra demons with a stroke of pure luck
