Game: Final Fantasy
Platform: NES
Completed: March 25, 2022
Rules: Beat the game with a team of four Fighters. Promoting to Knights is allowed.
Part: 2 of 5

After neutralizing the pirates in Pravoka and commandeering their ship, Moo, Auk, Eggs, and Oink decide to spend hours at the "peninsula of power" to gain a bunch of levels and a ton of GP to buy some wonderful equipment and to stock up on items. This makes it to where the next several videos don't contain a bunch of grinding and allows them to be more exciting. This entire video is pretty much just grinding and shopping but I tried to find some highlights anyways:

16 minutes - All of your characters start with the same experience point requirements to level up. This means that they all go up levels at the exact same time as long as nobody has finished a battle dead, since dead characters do not earn experience points. Had my first death here but it won't be the last.

28 minutes, 50 seconds - 1,234 gold...this is a monumental moment in Final Fantasy history.

1 hour, 15 minutes, 50 seconds - Buying items in large quantities takes forever in this game since you can only buy one item at a time. Pure potions take even longer to buy than potions because they are farther down on the list and the cursor starts at the top each time. This actually makes it awful to buy large quantities of items that are far down on the list. Over 10 minutes to buy 99 heals, pures, and tents!

Back to the actual storyline in part 3...
