PREVIOUSLY ON FINAL FANTASY VI ADVANCE:

We took a little time-out from the main story to tour the Southern continent, including the towns of Albrooks, Miranda and Tzen. Things are looking pretty grim. These are the three towns that are surrounding Vector, the imperial capitol. The Empire has decided to flex its muscle and has brought these towns under their control. We gear up and talk to everyone in these three towns to learn what we can about Vector. But as a scholar in Figaro once said, you can only learn so much about something without seeing it...

IN THIS CHAPTER:

And on that note, we'll be taking a look around Vector before heading for the Magitek Factory (and later Research Facility) to find the Espers Ramuh told us about. A couple things to mention about Vector... The inn is "free", but there's a 50/50 chance the owner will steall 1,000 GP from you. To the left, you'll see a small, thin hut-like house with an old lady. If you say you're not loyal to the Empire, you'll have a quick fight against some guards. But afterwards, the old lady will heal you every time you speak to her. There's also a kid that supposedly knows how to cast Cure, but it doesn't do anything for you.

In the Magitek factory, there's plenty of treasures to be had, grab them all. The 'Flametongue, 'Thunderblade' ' and 'Icebrand' will make things a lot easier for you, as they will randomly cast spells when attacking. Just be mindful of what weapons you have equipped in the short battle with Ifrit and Shiva, or else you'll end up healing them inadvertedly.
