PREVIOUSLY ON FINAL FANTASY VI ADVANCE:

It was basically 'Stand By Me' mixed with 'The Sixth Sense' as Sabin's scenario continues. Joined by super cool ninja Shadow and now the samurai Cyan, Sabin boards a train found semi-deep in the woods. But this is no normal train, it's the legendary Phantom Train carrying the souls of the dead to the afterlife! If our heroes don't want to die, they'll have to find a way to stop the train and get off. With a little help from some friendly ghosts and a suplex or two later, our heroes managed to do just that. There's also the truly difficult scene after the boss where Cyan sees his family one last time. Onward, Sabin & co. will press on towards Narshe on the next legs of their journey...

IN THIS CHAPTER:

So I named this chapter 'The Veldt', but notably this chapter also includes Baren Falls, the Serpent Trench and the town of Mobliz. When you get to Baren Falls, Shadow will definitely leave you if he hasn't already. So I preemptively unequipped his gear and relics, hehe. When you jump from the falls, your HP/MP is restored, so no need to heal prior. I'm really trying not to grind and also show you 100% of the game as I'm playing it, so I only did a few minutes of Rage harvesting for Gau. I was really only looking for the 'Templar' Rage, as it uses 'Fira' sometimes, which is handy in the Serpent Trench. I didn't complete the mini-scenario in Mobliz, to get the 'Tintinnabulum', but I'll come back for it later. When I got to Nikeah, I geared up for the roster, including those who aren't in my party currently. When you're ready (treat yourself to the scene between Cyan and the dancer who has nicknames for her boobs), you'll sail from Nikeah to South Figaro and Sabin's scenario is now complete. It'll immediately cut to Narshe.

I think it would've been better to finish these trio of scenarios with Terra's instead, as it's really short and seems to pick back up in the next scene. The Narshe battle should be interesting. We"ll see if I can continue to skate by on my low-level non-grinding approach
