It is time for our mission of the month, we must fight Lonato and the Western Church in a fog of war map. Byleth's group is accompanied by Catherine, and because she has Thunderbrand, which allows her to attack twice, and it is a very powerful weapon, but we shouldn't rely on Catherine too often, because that could take away experience needed for my lower level units.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

Before starting this fight, we go through some dialogue about Catherine's Hero's Relic known as Thunderbrand, and some backstory about Lonato and why he is against the Church of Seiros.
We get introduced to a Fire Emblem staple known as the fog of war, so I would recommend giving some Torches to some units, as they can extend their sight range, as enemies are hidden inside, and they can attack you unexpectedly.
Catherine's Hero's Relic, Thunderbrand can strike twice when she enters battle, and Catherine does have good speed, so she is very likely to get in four hits with it, and it can take out an enemy in one hit. While you do get a very powerful ally for this chapter, if you let Catherine defeat all of the enemy forces, then you don't get that much experience, so it is best to have your lower level units finish off the weakened opponents. Catherine has Sword Crit +10, which boosts her critical rate when she is using a sword.
When you advance further into the map, there is a Dark Mage who has Miasma Δ which is a dark magic spell, and the Gaspard Commander is a tough opponent, so I would recommend using any units with good Resistance to fight the commander. When defeated, this will remove the fog of war, and we get a cutscene in between.
Lonato appears with some reinforcements, so this can be tough getting to him, so I would try to take them out one at a time, while Catherine can easily take them down with her Thunderbrand, and Catherine will not fight Lonato in combat, and he is a very tough opponent. Lonato is a Paladin, and he does have a Personal Skill called General, which will reduce the damage from Gambits by 50%, and protects him from instant death. If any of your Lance units have Knightkneeler, you should have that on Dimitri or Sylvain by now, or if you are playing on any other route, Ferdinand, Leonie, or Lorenz can can get that if you have them a C Rank with Lances. Lonato has good Defense, so using magic attacks can help get in some damage on him, but aside from that, he shouldn't be too difficult of an opponent. There will be unique dialogue if you let Ashe fight Lonato, but he does also have unique dialogue if you let Dimitri fight him. If all NPCs survive this chapter, you will get some rewards, a Secret Book and Goddess Icon, those are stat boosters that permanently boost a stat, the Secret Book increases dexterity by 2 points, and the Goddess Icon boosts luck by 4 points.
We then realize that the Gaspard soldiers that fought alongside Lonato were civilians, and we then find out from Catherine about how Lonato and the Western Church are plotting an assassination of Lady Rhea, so Byleth and his class return back to the Monastery, and he learns about the Rite of Rebirth, which is an important event to the Church of Seiros, and that we must help out with the security of the Monastery on that day.
