Another themed build with a focus on trash clear, we're deploying all the lasers on this one! While I know the Lascannon has its fans for bot missions, taking out Hulks and Gunships in quick order, I find it a little weak vs Devastators and risky given how long you have to stand out in the open to keep that laser on target.

For bugs however, I've been enjoying it a lot more when I have teammates able to take on the heavies. While the Lascannon can take out Chargers with enough shots to the ass, it's best used as a long distance trash clearer, able to cover your teammates from afar and cut through medium armour enemies like Hiveguards and Bile Spewers. If you cycle this with another laser weapon, you can keep up the damage while avoiding overheat for minimal downtime, racking up those kill streaks.

Build:

With themed builds, the loadout picks itself - Lascannon, Scythe, Dagger, Guard Dog Rover, Orbital Laser, and the 500kg (Laser) Bomb...ok, I needed something for heavies alright, and the Orbital Laser only has 3 uses.

Lascannon will be our main weapon, able to take on everything less armoured than a Charger, and surprisingly good at taking out Bile Spewers with a few seconds to the face. When this threatens to overheat, I'm switching to the Scythe, not many people's choice but doing similar damage to the Lascannon, just with less armour penetration.

Dagger is...there for emergencies. Not the best damage, though it does have the benefit of pinpoint accuracy even when hipfiring for what that's worth. The Guard Dog Rover on the other hand is pretty clutch, and will make up a good chunk of your total kills.

For nades, you'll need some damage nade for closing bug holes, so Impact nades it is - they can also come in handy for bursting Charger butts in a pinch.

Any armour will do really - extra nades might come in handy since we have no other way of closing bug holes, but I've gone for a fashion pick instead with the asymmetrical paintjob on the standard B-01 Tactical armour.
