Alright cards on the table - I don't recommend this build for solo or quickplay, as I don't have the fastest kill vs Chargers and am completely helpless vs Bile Titans - but for coop play with teammates I can rely on for heavy kills, this build is a lot of fun. With 4 guns firing from one player alone, you can mop up an ungodly number of the smaller enemies, keeping them off your teammates back while they focus on the Titans and Chargers.

Being able to specialise is one of the perks of playing in an organised team - but since I was having so much fun with the MG I might try and whip up a solo version of this build that's a bit more well-rounded.

Build:

Having had so much fun with the Stalwart recently, I thought I'd give the basic MG another go - while it has the inconvenience of a static reload, it makes up for it with better penetration, meaning better performance vs Hive Guards and Brood Commanders. For Charger kills, you can either matador the Chargers and then use the armour bug and aim for the legs, or use a combination of the MG and Impact nades to take out the Charger's exposed rear.

To cover me while I reload, I'm bringing the Guard Dog - the recent fixes to its rearm mean it can actually keep going across several firefights, and it actually feels like a worthy competitor to the Rover now.

The MG does have issues with its ammo efficiency (resupplies only fill up one magazine, even with the Ship Upgrade) so until that bug gets fixed, I need a reliable primary that can keep me alive when the MG runs dry - the good old Punisher works well here. I'm taking the Grenade Pistol for Bug Holes, which means I'm free to use the Impact nades for Charger and Spewer asses - the extra nades on the Ground Breaker mean I have more for emergencies too.

The Gatling and MG Sentries perform very similar roles - the Gatling Sentry does feel like a direct upgrade over the MG Sentry, but there's no need to pick favourites when you can just pick both.

As I said before, this is more of a meme build than a practical one - so keep an eye out for another video with a more well-rounded loadout!
