Hitman: Absolution (2012) (PC) (IO Interactive)
I have never played a Hitman game before, but by all accounts Absolution is the worst entry in the series. From what I've seen so far the game is still a beautiful, atmospheric and delightfully twisted stealth experience, but there's apparently not nearly enough of that sandbox-style creativity and player freedom which Blood Money in particular is known. Not being a very dedicated stealth gamer myself (as seen by the hilariously un-silent takedown at the end of this video), I think the primary attraction for me will be to simply explore the meticulously detailed, stunningly good-looking environments IO Interactive crafted for Agent 47 to skulk around in. That being said, I got all previous installments in the Hitman franchise on my Steam account, and perhaps it's time to take a good hard look at what the world's favorite Danish game developers were capable of when they were at their peak...
