Hornby Class 60 Diesel Locomotive 60074 DB Schenker TCT Livery OO Gauge) Review HD
Its been a while since I have review a model of a British Locomotive, so apologies for my rusty skills whilst warming up. This is a review of my 13th Hornby Class 60 Diesel Locomotive numbered as 60074 in the DB Schenker "Teenage Cancer Trust" pastel blue livery which is super detailed at both ends and features etched nameplates of "Teenage Spirit". You will notice that this version of the model is different than the 2008 Rail Express limited edition that came out at Warley in that year as my version of this model is a "Code 3" repaint into the "Phase II" livery. Meanwhile sticking to topic which is the model. The Hornby Class 60 is DCC ready and only requires a 8-pin decoder (I recommend using a Lenz "Silver" for this model if you use DCC) to use on DCC layouts. The model also has opening doors that are sprung loaded to close again, sprung buffers and impressive cab detailing to boot! As you can expect, this model strikes all the right notes for accuracy, quality, detail and performance.
Overall Rating: 10/10.
