Tower 55 Models #EA0016-2 GE ES44DC Diesel Locomotive #7747 BNSF H3 (HO Scale) Review HD
This is the second Tower 55 model locomotive in my fleet and this is the GE Evolution Series (aka the "GEVO") ES44DC Diesel Locomotive in the BNSF H3 (Heritage 3) livery with road number as 7747. The model boasts Digitrax sound as this model is pre-fitted with a sound decoder and the sounds are very nice on this model and also the lights are functioning on DC on this model as well which do look nice I must say. Detail is top notch all round as many of the detail parts are made of brass rather than resin and Tower 55 Models are made by Ajin Precision Models in South Korea which also made the Overland Models in brass. Meanwhile and staying on topic, the performance is good all round due to its diecast metal chassis with a central can motor and all wheel drive. Acceleration is a bit overkill for a freight locomotive because this model takes off like a Ferrari and is a bit feisty in my opinion. Sadly Tower 55 Models is no longer around but Athearn are to resurrect this model into their "Genesis" range later this year in various liveries. I have added a Amtrak model train that will be running in the background on this video to add some eye candy to the layout.
Overall Rating: 10/10.
