Murphy Models MM0112 | GM Class 111 | Diesel Locomotive | 112 | NIR Blue | OO Gauge | Review | HD
This is the second gem that I also received for my birthday just over two weeks ago at the beginning of the month. This is a Murphy Models GM Class 111 Diesel Locomotive (basically an 071 class) numbered as 112 named as "Northern Counties" in the NIR (Northern Ireland Railways) Blue livery which makes my second NIR locomotive in my growing Irish fleet. The model is superb all round for detail, quality and performance and this model is also sound ready as they is an oblong 4ohm speaker mounted inside the chassis and will require a 21-pin V4 LokSound or a Zimo 4ohm compatible decoder if you wish to add a sound decoder to this model. There is three switches for the headlights (Central and Lower side lights) and the third switch for the tail lights as the tail lights are not used when hauling a train. But I have intentionally left them on for the benefit of this video. Very nice made model and its up there with my 201's which incidentally I have ran GM 201 "River Shannon" with my Mk3's in the background to add some flavour to the test run whilst 112 is hauling the trio of Murphy Models RSPI Mk2's in green as I do not have any NIR Mk2's at the moment. So highly recommended and I intend to get some IE GM 071 class locomotives later this year.
Overall Rating: 10/10.
