Hornby Class 60 Diesel Locomotive 60500 (60016) EWS "Rail Magazine" (OO Gauge) Review HD
Yes I know this is my third review of the Hornby Class 60 and this is also a Code 3 renumbered model as well, but I promise that this is my last Hornby Class 60 Diesel Locomotive review to come for a while as the next review to come will be something different and exciting as well. I like this model in particular because this model has been renumbered to 60500 (alias as 60016) named as "Rail Magazine" in the EWS "Maroon & Mustard" livery which used the original 60029 model as the base model for this code 3 renumbering. The model has got a fully detailed buffer beam at the "Cab 1" end with the NEM coupler at the other end of this model so it can haul freight.
The other train running on this layout is my Hornby Class 43 HST in the Grand Central livery which was also received some detailing as the buffers are now painted black and the brake pipes have also been added to both power cars on this train. Also I have included another little update in this video because I have painted the buffers on the Orient Express Pullman cars and the two KFA freight wagons black which both models are by Hornby. So as you will probably see that I have been busy with the detailing on my model trains and carriages as well as the wagons. Meanwhile returning to topic. I would definitely recommend getting a Hornby Class 60 model if you model OO gauge modern image British trains as they are powerful models and are smooth fantastic runners with lots of detail. Not to forget that these models are also DCC ready and will only need a 8-pin decoder to make them work on a DCC layout. Personally I would recommend using the Lenz "Silver" decoder if you plan to run this model in a DCC layout. This one is the 14th Hornby Class 60 model locomotive in my fleet so far.
Overall Rating: 10/10.
