4To add a PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 friend using the PlayStation App on your phone, follow these steps:
Download and Open the PlayStation App: Install the PlayStation App from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store. Open the app and sign in with your PlayStation Network (PSN) account. Ensure you're using the correct account tied to your friends list.
Navigate to the Friends Section: From the app’s home screen, tap the Friends icon, typically located in the top right corner.
Search for a Friend: Tap the Search option or the Add Friend icon (usually a magnifying glass or plus sign). Enter the player’s Online ID (their PSN username) or real name if known. You can also check the Played Together tab to find players you’ve recently played with.
Send a Friend Request: Select the player’s profile from the search results. Tap Add or Add Friend. You can optionally include a personal message to let them know who you are. If you want to share your real name and profile picture, toggle the Share Your Real Name and Picture option before sending the request.
Manage Friend Requests: To accept or decline incoming friend requests, go to the Friends section, select the Friend Requests tab, and choose Accept or Decline for each request. To cancel a sent request, open the player’s profile, select Sent, and tap Cancel Friend Request.
