About this video: In this video, we show you how to download and install the Serene Seasons mod in Minecraft 1.16.5. What is the Serene Seasons mod? Well, it is a Minecraft 1.16.5 that adds in seasons to Minecraft. It does more than just change the temperature though. It also changes the colors of grass and foliage, and it will make things freeze in the winter and melt in the summer including causing snowfall in biomes that normally wouldn’t have it. Also, growing crops has changed entirely with some crops growing better in the summer and others growing better in the spring and fall. This can really change farming up in Minecraft. Thus, without anymore delay, here is how to add the seasons mod to Minecraft 1.16.5!
First and foremost, you will need to download and install Forge. Forge is the Minecraft mod loaded that allows Serene Seasons 1.16.5 to actually work. Luckily, we have a great tutorial that has helped over one million people get Forge 1.16.5 linked in the description above. It goes over everything including some of the issues you may have adding Forge to Minecraft for Serene Seasons.
Speaking of the seasons Minecraft mod, we can move on to downloading Serene Seasons from the link in the description above. When you click that link, it will actually take you to our text tutorial for getting Serene Seasons. If we go too fast in the video, this would be great. Once you are there though, scroll down and click the ‘Download Serene Seasons’ button. That will then take you to Serene Seasons official download page. From there, look at the right-hand sidebar and scroll down until you see the ‘Minecraft 1.16’ section. Under that, you will see a Serene Seasons 1.16.5 version. Click the download button next to this and Serene Seasons will start downloading after a few seconds. You will need to keep/save the file depending on your browser.
After you have Serene Seasons downloaded, it's time to move on to getting the Minecraft seasons mod installed. To do this, hit the windows key on your keyboard and 'R' at the exact some time. This will open your Run app. In the text box here, type '%appdata%', and hit enter. This will open up your Roaming folder. In this folder, you will see a .minecraft folder. Open that, and you will see a mods folder. If you don't have a mods folder, just create one! Finally, open up your mods folder and drag-and-drop the Serene Seasons mod you downloaded into this folder. You now know how to install Serene Seasons in Minecraft 1.16.5!
You aren't completely finished though. You still need to open up the Minecraft launcher, click the little arrow next the Play button, click Forge, and click Play. When you do this, Minecraft 1.16.5 will open up with Serene Seasons installed! You can use commands in game to change the seasons and see what season it is if you don't want to wait.
