How to Switch to the GAME Voice Chat on PS5 Party (Best Method)
1Switching between your PS5 party chat and the in-game voice chat is a common need, especially when you're moving from a general lobby to a game-specific one. The best and most reliable method is to use the PS5's built-in Game Base feature.
The Best Method: Switching via the Game Base
While in a party, press the PlayStation button on your controller to open the Control Center at the bottom of the screen.
Navigate to the Game Base icon (it looks like two chat bubbles and a PS logo).
Go to the Parties tab and select the party you're currently in.
At the top of the party screen, you will see a dropdown menu that shows the name of your current chat channel (e.g., your party name). Select this option.
A menu will appear with a list of available chat channels. Select the "Game Voice Chat" option to switch over to the in-game chat.
You will now be communicating with the players in your game instead of your party. The PS5 will also show a notification in the corner of your screen that says "Voice chat switched to game voice chat."
