In this video I show you how to blur face in CapCut PC. The easiest method to blur a face is to use the blur effect combined with a mask. Additionally, you can use the tracking feature. Doing so will prevent you from having to manually move the blur to the position of the face in the video. This is particularly helpful if you’re trying to blur a moving face, or a face when the camera is moving.

To blur a face in CapCut you will first need to add a blur to your clip. You can do this by selecting Effects and searching for Blur. Another option is to use a mosaic effect to blur a face. In many cases this may be preferred as it’s typically more destructive then a blur effect. Once you have a blur added to your clip you will then need to create a mask. Typically, you will want to use a circle mask as it will fit nicely over the face. However, any mask will work if you make it big enough to blur the face.

If the person’s face isn’t moving then you won’t need to adjust the mask. However, if the person or camera is moving then you’ll want to add a motion track to the blur effect so the face remains covered. To track the blur to the moving face go to the track mask settings and set the direction to both, then click the Track button. Once done CapCut will begin tracking the face and align your mask to ensure the face stays blurred.

After the process has finished you can then play your video to ensure the face is blurred in CapCut. If there are some frames where the face isn’t covered then you can manually add position and size keyframes, then adjust the mask to cover the face. You can repeat the process to blur your face in other videos or clips if needed.
