Fix Roblox Ask Your Parent to Join this Experience – Need Parent Permission
10In this video I show you how to fix the Roblox Ask Your Parent to Join this Experience error. If you get this issue then you may see an “Ask Your Parent” message when you attempt to play an experience that says you need parent permission. When this message appears it means there are parental controls on your account and your content restrictions are set too low to play the game. Fortunately, the message also has a button to Ask Parent, once clicked an email will be sent to the email of the parent’s account.
To fix the “you need parent permission” issue the parent account will need to click the “Review” button in the email. This will open the Roblox website where you can review the needed change and choose if you want to make it or not. This will require you to sign in to the parent account if you’re not already. If you are fine with the change you can click the Approve button to make the change. In many cases the requested change will be to change the content maturity setting. Doing so will allow the child’s account to access all games that meet the new content maturity setting, not just the selected game.
Alternatively, you can manually change the content maturity setting for the child account. This can only be done on the parent account. If you accidently made your account a child account then you will need to sign into whichever account you made the parent. However, if you are the child then you will need the parent to sign in to their account. To change the content maturity setting you will need to go to the Settings, then open the Parental Controls. Here you will need to open the Content Restrictions page then select Content Maturity and change the setting accordingly.
