In this video I show you how to add overlay in CapCut PC. You can add an overlay by placing it above your video in the timeline. This will allow you to see it over the top of your video. Once done you can resize the overlay by dragging the corners in or out on the preview window, then reposition as you like.

If you are adding an overlay that has a background then you can use the Chroma Key feature to remove it. This can be done by selecting your overlay, then by going to Video and Remove BG. Here you can enable the Chroma Key setting and select the background color of your overlay. Once done the background will be removed leaving only your overlay, provided it’s on a single color background. In some cases you will need to adjust the settings to make the overlay look right in CapCut.

Another option is to add a video overlay in CapCut. This can be done using the same method, just make sure to place the overlay above your video so you can see it. Additionally, using Chroma Key may be needed for some video overlays as the file type may cause there to be a background in CapCut. However, this depends on the overlay itself.

If you are using a video overlay then you may need to adjust the length so it covers your entire video. This can be done by selecting the overlay, then by going to the Speed options and increasing the duration. However, this will slow down the overlay animation. Alternatively, you can copy and paste the overlay to duplicate it, then place one after the other to have the overlay loop. If you choose to loop the overlay like this then you will need to ensure there’s no gaps where the overlay disappears for a moment. Additionally, this will work best if the overlay you are using is designed to loop seamlessly.
