In this video I show you how to download Minecraft on PC and laptop in 2025. To download Minecraft Java Edition you will need to purchase Minecraft. This can be done on the website, or through the Minecraft Launcher. Fortunately, you can download the Minecraft launcher for free, then buy Minecraft once done.

To download Minecraft you will first need to go to the Minecraft website and sign in to your Microsoft account. If you don’t already have an account then you can choose to make one. Once done you can then download the Minecraft installer file which will allow you to install the Minecraft launcher on your PC or laptop.

Once you have the Minecraft installer file you will need to run it. Doing so will give you the option to install the Minecraft launcher on your computer. During the process you will need to sign into your Microsoft account. After installing the Minecraft launcher you will be able to select Minecraft Java Edition from the side then click the Buy or Install button. If you don’t have Minecraft then you will need to click the Buy button and choose the version of Minecraft that you want.

Once you have chosen to install or play Minecraft Java the game will begin installing. This process may take a few minutes depending on your system. After you have downloaded Minecraft Java Edition it may open automatically, allowing you to play Minecraft on your computer.
