How to Connect Xbox Elite Controller up to your Xbox Series X (Pairing & Sync Tutorial)
1Connecting your Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 to your Xbox Series X is straightforward. Here are the steps:
Insert Batteries:
If you’re using AA batteries, insert them into the controller. Note that the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 has a built-in battery and includes a USB-C cable for charging.
Turn On the Controller:
Press and hold the Xbox button on the controller until it turns on. The Xbox button will flash when it’s ready.
Pair the Controller:
On the Xbox Series X, locate the Pair button:
On the Xbox Series X, the Pair button is on the front right, above the USB port.
On the Xbox Series S, the Pair button is on the front left, to the right of the USB port.
Within 20 seconds, press and hold the Pair button on the controller (it’s a circular button on top of the controller).
The Xbox button will flash as it searches for a console. Once connected, the Xbox button will stay lit.
Alternatively, Use the Xbox Accessories App:
Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Go to Profile & system - Settings - Devices & connections - Controllers & headsets - Connect a device.
Follow the on-screen instructions to pair your selected controller.
Remember, you can connect up to eight wireless controllers to your console. Enjoy gaming with your Elite controller!
