About this video: As far as mods go, Fabric 1.18 mods are some of the coolest. One of the reasons for this is the fact that they update much quicker than other mod loaders usually update. This means you can start using 1.18 Fabric mods quicker than other Minecraft mods. Additionally, a lot of mods are exclusive to Fabric. Meaning that if you want to play some mods, you will need to use the Fabric mod loader. So, without anymore delay, here is how to install Fabric 1.18 in Minecraft!
The very first step of getting Fabric is downloading the Fabric Installer. You can find the Fabric 1.18 download in the description above. That will actually take you to our text tutorial for getting Fabric. From there, scroll down and click the yellow 'Download Fabric' button. You will the be taken to the official Fabric 1.18 download page. On this page, click the 'Download installer (Universal/.JAR)'. The Fabric Installer will then start downloading. You will need to keep/save this file depending on your browser.
With the Fabric Installer downloaded, you we can move on to how to install Fabric 1.18 in Minecraft. To get started, right-click on the installer, click 'Open With', select 'Java', and click 'Okay'. The Fabric Installer will open. Next, make sure 1.18 is select next to Minecraft Version. Then, click the 'Install' button in the bottom center of the installer. Select if you are on the Microsoft Launcher or old school launcher, and Fabric 1.18 will the install in Minecraft!
Now that Fabric is installed, we can move on to how to install Fabric Mods in Minecraft 1.18. First, you will need to download some Fabric mods. We have a few linked in the description above. Just make sure that you are downloading the 1.18 version of whatever Fabric mod you are wanting to install. Other wise it won't work.
To install the 1.18 Fabric mods, open up your start menu and search for 'Run'. Open the Run app, and in the text box, type '%appdata%', and hit enter. This will open your Roaming folder. You will see a .minecraft folder. Open that, and you should have a folder called 'mods'. If not, create one! Finally, drag-and-drop any Fabric mods you want to install into the mods folder. It is that easy to download Fabric mods and install them in 1.18!
You aren't complete finished though. You still need to open up the Minecraft Launcher, click the arrow next to the Play button, select the Fabric installation, click Play, and then click 'Play' again to confirm you are playing modded Minecraft with Fabric. Finally, Minecraft 1.18 will open up with Fabric and your Fabric mods installed!
